my confession

I just watched New Moon, and I have a confession:

I didn't love it.

Crazy, right? Everyone is pretty much obsessing over it right now and me? I don't think i'll pay to watch it again. Sure, i really enjoyed it, and when it comes out on DVD i'll probably want to watch it, but it just wasn't as great as i expected. Now let me clarify a few things:

1. Yes, Jacob is HOT. I loved him in this movie.
2. The werewolves are pretty dang awesome.
3. Bella looks a lot prettier in this movie.
4. The Volturi part was pretty freaking sweet.

So why didn't i love the movie?

Because Edward looks (and acts) so freaking GAY! Yuck! I did NOT like him in this movie. He needs to be a little more manly. It's ok that he's the romantic-type, but come ON! He's too femmy (is that a even a real word?), he's too scrawny, and i hate his nasty pale hairy chest. Sick.

Jacob shirtless = wow. Edward = ick.

A picture says a 1,000 words...

Back in July... this picture was taken minutes after i took a pregnancy test! I think we both had this same expression on our faces for a couple of days.

I remember when we took this next picture, I was about 11 or 12 weeks preggo, and I thought i already "looked pregnant" and had a baby bump. HA! Now i know better.

i ♥ provo.

There, i said it.

I ♥ Provo and i miss it! I didn't think I would ever miss living there, but i totally do. I had so many great times in that over-populated, weight-obsessed, dumb driving, BYU-nerd town.

But then again, maybe it's not the actual place that i miss, but more so the people and the memories. If i were to move back now, it totally wouldn't be the same because most of my friends have moved on with their lives, but still... right now i wish i could just go back in time and re-live some (not all!) of those moments.

happy birthday to me!

Yesterday was a great day. I had the day off of work, and i was spoiled and pampered all day long. What more could I ask for? My favorite part... my prenatal body massage. It was amazing. Just what this preggo girl needed! Thanks to my hubby for making my day so special. Love you!

Birthday dinner at Chili's...

My birthday present from my mom!

Also- thank you for everyones birthday wishes. It's always nice to hear from friends and family! I love you all.

A few things to catch up on...

2 weeks ago i had a surprise visit from my sister and cute nephew! It was so much fun to have them stay with us for 2 days. I love them both very much! Of course i ended up taking pictures of only Hudson...

We decided that we needed to do some sort of Halloween activity... but between me working, and Dan in school and studying all the time, It had to be something quick and easy! So... we made cookies and frosted them. Nothing fancy (I'll admit the cookies were the bake-n-break store bought kind. But hey, i DID bake them myself AND i made the frosting!), but it was still fun.

Last but not least, as i mentioned above, i am a working momma now! I finally got into a salon here in town, and i am really liking it so far! The only complaints i have is the backache and super tired feet I have by the end of the day, but it's worth it! Money is good! Here is my baby belly at 21 weeks... in one of my "work costumes" as i like to call it! If it weren't for my job I would be the frumpiest, laziest, prego chick ever!

And just for my mom's sake, here is another belly pic... taken this same week (21 weeks).

Since this blog kind of serves as my journal also, I need to document that on Monday, October 19th, which also marked my 20 weeks of being prego, i felt Lincolns first movements! It was about 7:30am, i was sound asleep, and woken up all of the sudden by the movement i could feel in my belly. It was the best feeling ever! I was so excited and still get a huge smile on my face everytime i feel him move now. I love this little guy so much! I just barely read that at 20 weeks the baby is now about 10 inches long, the length of a large banana. Might not sound very big to those reading this right now, but to know that i have a 10 inch baby inside of ME is so crazy!

Some not-so-good news...

We had our monthly check-up yesterday along with an ultrasound and it turns out that our baby boy has 2 cysts growing next to his kidneys. There isn't anything the doctors can do at this point, so for now they will just monitor him very closely and hope that they go away on their own. If they continue to get bigger, then it's something they will have to take care of immediately after he is born. We just hope that they don't end up affecting his kidneys in any way. Needless to say, this momma-to-be is pretty stressed out right now, but i trust my Heavenly Father and I will just keep praying for his health and safety every second of every day!
